“Trevor, GO” Behind the Scenes: An Intern’s Perspective

Every summer, EverBank welcomes a new group of interns to gain first-hand experience in the workplace. This June, Anna Kate Smith joined the Marketing team and helped to develop an exciting campaign with Trevor Lawrence. This article explores her participation and point of view.
This summer, I interned at the EverBank Corporate Headquarters in Jacksonville, Florida. While there, I worked on a joint marketing campaign between EverBank and professional quarterback Trevor Lawrence. The campaign will launch before this year’s football season officially starts and includes media events, TV commercials, print and digital ads, and volunteer collaborations.
As part of my internship, I was lucky enough to attend the production shoot for one of the commercials called “Trevor, GO.”
This commercial focuses on Trevor and the EverBank PerformanceSM Savings account. The idea behind it is to always perform at your best, “GO” as hard as you can and never stop pushing toward your goals—whether they be athletic goals or financial goals.
We, the viewers, get to see Trevor train hard and enjoy life around Jacksonville—including at EverBank Stadium, the Miller Electric Center training facility, and Huguenot Park. The commercial promotes a strong message of performance and conveys that EverBank accounts align with high performers like Trevor.
Being behind the scenes and learning the ins and outs of shooting a TV promo was an exciting experience! And I must say, getting to work on set with Trevor Lawrence was one of the highlights of my marketing internship.
Trevor was just as nice and personable as everyone makes him out to be. He was quick to interact with the film crew and brought a lot of energy and excitement to the shoot the second he walked in. And even though it was hot on the field at EverBank Stadium, you could sense how enthusiastic everyone was to be working with him—me included.
Ultimately, I’m so grateful to have been an EverBank intern. Not only was it a valuable experience for my future career endeavors, but as a Jacksonville native and passionate Jaguars fan, getting to work on the campaign and see it coming to life in real-time was nothing short of amazing. I can’t wait to see the results of our hard work.
