Looking ahead
New online banking experience
Now that we've released our new name and look, we're elevating our online and mobile banking experience to give you an upgrade to the reliable service you're familiar with.
The next chapter
TIAA sold a majority share of TIAA Bank to private investors with a strong track record in banking. These private investors include Stone Point Capital LLC, Warburg Pincus LLC, Sixth Street, Reverence Capital Partners LLC and Bayview Asset Management LLC. When the sale closed on July 31, 2023, our name changed to EverBank, N.A.
Those who have been with our bank for many years will recognize the EverBank name. It taps into our proud heritage as an independent bank with a deep commitment to client service. It also reflects our continued enthusiasm for helping our clients achieve greater success.

No. As EverBank, we are an FDIC-insured national bank. The standard FDIC insurance limit of $250,000 per depositor, per insured depository institution for each account ownership category has not changed with our transition. So you can rest assured that you have protection and your deposits are safe up to the FDIC insurance limits. For example, individual accounts are covered up to $250,000 and joint accounts are covered up to $500,000. We also continue to offer expanded FDIC insurance coverage with our CDARS® CD account.
By now you’re familiar with the EverBank name and our renewed commitment to you. As part of our dedication to create exceptional experiences for our clients, we’ll be enhancing our online banking service to give you more everyday banking advantages.
New online banking experience
Our online and mobile banking service has continued to operate under the TIAA Bank brand since we introduced our new EverBank name last September. Later this year, you’ll begin to see the EverBank name when you log in at everbank.com or when you use our new mobile app, along with a newly designed and simplified experience.
We’ll move clients to our new online and mobile banking experience later this year. This move will happen in two phases. If you have EverBank accounts, and no accounts associated with TIAA, your transition will take place during the first phase. Please ensure that your phone number(s) are up-to-date and that you know your current User ID and Password. No other action is necesssary at this time.
If you have accounts with both EverBank and TIAA, we'll move you to our new online banking experience during the second phase. Until then, access your accounts as you do today at TIAA.org. After the transition, you'll do all of your banking at everbank.com while continuing to use TIAA.org seperately for everything related to your TIAA accounts. Please ensure that your phone number(s) are up-to-date and that you know your current User ID and Password. No other action is necesssary at this time.
Our goal is to make this a smooth transition for you. Your account information will remain the same. In the new online banking experience, you’ll see new and enhanced features that our clients have requested such as the ability to create and edit account nicknames, check interest rates, manage debit card use, and more.
We encourage you to go online and check to be sure that we have your correct contact information, including phone number(s). When you log in for the first time at transition, we’ll need to reach you with a voice call or SMS for security verification. You will also need to know the User ID and Password that you use to login to online or mobile banking today. No other action is needed at this time.
When it's time, we’ll email you easy instructions for your first log in along with information on any other actions you may need to take. For right now, please continue banking online as you usually do, including using the current TIAA mobile app. We’ll let you know when to download the new EverBank mobile app.
Yes. If you'd like to continue accessing your accounts through a mobile app, you will need to download the new EverBank app. Our new app will be available for you to download and use once you receive our communication letting you know that the new online and mobile banking experience is ready for you.
Security
Account security is our top priority so that you can bank with confidence. We utilize a multi-layered approach to help protect you against fraud, including strong encryption technology, account number masking and two-factor authentication, which can help stop unauthorized access to your account. We also monitor data to detect fraud or suspicious activity. If we notice suspicious activity on your account, we may contact you by phone, text, email, or mail to confirm that transactions are valid.
Be aware of imposter scams, where text, phone calls or e-mails are used to impersonate EverBank. And be wary of other common scams, like attempts to get your credentials to “refund” your money or claiming to be helping you with tax issues or a computer virus. Scammers may try to pressure you into time-sensitive decisions or make you think your money is in danger; an EverBank associate would never do that.
If you are uncomfortable with a communication, observe something unusual or suspicious, or need fraud related support, please reach out to us at 1.888.882.3827.
